A Compact Penta-Band Low-SAR Antenna Loaded with Split-Ring Resonator for Mobile Applications

A compact rectangular patch with dual-ring SRR (split-ring resonator) is presented in this article. An antenna designed on FR4 substrate an overall footprint size of 26 mm × 30 1.6 mm. The operates five bands from 2.95 to 3.06 GHz, 3.79 3.87 4.11 4.19 5.39 5.51 and 5.97 6.11 GHz. Mobile fixed voice communication, WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access), 5G (5th generation), WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), ISM (Industrial Scientific Medical) are some applications that utilized the above resonating bands. penta-band operation due inclusion SRR. optimum values critical parameter identified using parametric analysis, results presented. also analyzed SAR (specific absorption rate) values, it was found be less than 2 W/kg 10 g volume tissue. fabricated tested, show there good agreement between simulated measured results. Penta-band simple structure, stable radiation pattern, low makes more intelligent suitable mobile application.
